How to trim audio online

Keep the part of a recording you need. Select a region, trim away the rest, and export an MP3 or WAV in Sodaphonic.
Steps
Open the audio editor. Choose File → Open to load a recording from your device, or use Record to make one.
Play the recording and drag across the waveform to select the section you want to keep. Zoom in for a more precise boundary.
Choose Edit → Trim. This removes everything outside the selection. To remove the selected section instead, use Edit → Delete.
Listen to the new beginning and end. Use Edit → Undo if the selection cut off a word, then select again.
Choose File → Export and download an MP3 or WAV. Keep your original if you may need it later.
Tips and examples
For a 12-second voice memo with speech from second 2 to second 10, select those eight seconds and trim. Leave a little breathing room before the first word and after the last word rather than clipping consonants.
A short fade can soften an abrupt cut. Trimming changes duration; it does not remove background noise from the section you keep.
