How to record audio in your browser

Record a voice memo with Sodaphonic, check microphone permissions, trim the recording, and download it as MP3 or WAV.
Steps
Open the audio editor in a current browser and press Record.
Allow microphone access when prompted. Speak a short test phrase, then stop recording and play it back.
Record your message. Keep the microphone at a steady distance and move away from fans or other background noise.
Trim unwanted silence or mistakes and preview the edit.
Choose File → Export to download an MP3 or WAV. Use File → Share when you want to upload a copy for sharing.
Tips and examples
If the microphone is silent, check the permission for sodaphonic.com in your browser’s site settings, then check your operating system’s input and microphone permissions. A managed school device may need an administrator to permit recording.
On a Chromebook or another laptop, try a short test with the built-in microphone first. If recording is unavailable, you can still open an existing audio file. Export your work before closing the tab.
